Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 is an online duel fighting game. You can transform into Akuma, ED, Rashid, Cammy, or other unique characters and battle for victory.

How to play

Welcome to the most popular fighting game on our website! In order to play this Street Fighter 6 (SF6) game, you need to know how to control first!

How to control

To play this Street Fighter version, let’s follow the guides below.

  • UP ARROW - Jump
  • DOWN ARROW - Bend
  • LEFT ARROW - Move to the left
  • RIGHT ARROW - Move to the right
  • Z key - Kick
  • X key - Hit

With these keys, you can control your character to move and attack your enemies. These keys are both simple and easy to master, so most players can play this Street Fighter 6 game from their first playing time.

Note that you can combine keys together to perform special skills. You can hit while moving to the right to attack your enemies on the left. As a result, your opponents can’t avoid your hit. It's advanced controls of this action game. If you can master these advanced skills of fighters, you can beat your enemies easily.

In addition, don't forget to avoid your opponent's attack by using arrow keys. When you use arrow keys, your character can jump or move out of the attack area. However, in order to use this control, you need to observe your enemies and react fast. For example, you can avoid your opponent's kicks by jumping. In contrast, if your opponent hits you, you can move to other areas where this hit can’t touch you.

How to win

All players' goal is to win in duel battles. In order to beat your enemy, you have to deplete your opponent’s health bar.

When you join a duel match, both you and the enemy have a health bar. You can see this detail on the top. With each successful attack, the health bar will decrease by one level until there is one loser. Therefore, if you want to beat your opponent, you need to hit or kick correctly. Note that the hitting and kicking force can affect differently on the health bar.

Specifically,

  • The more force you use, the more powerful the attack will be.
  • If you can successfully attack continuously, your opponent's health bar will drop quickly.

With two attacking rules, you can take their advantages to gain victory. For example, players can perform strong attacks when their enemy is weak to knock out their opponent immediately. Strong hits and kicks always bring great effects.

However, it's challenging to gain victory in this Street Fighter 6 game because of your enemy. Remember that your enemy is also another character with unique skills. This character also can move, attack, and use strong kicks. Besides, your opponent's goal is the same as yours: victory in any match. As a result, this is a big challenge to all players to overcome their enemies and gain victory. In battles, in addition to attack, defense is also an important skill to win.

In conclusion, players should combine offense and defense to become a winner. Let's attack strongly and defend firmly and victory will belong to you!

How to use SF6 Drive Gauge

The SF6 gameplay retains the simplicity and accessibility of the previous game version and adds a new mechanism. Replacing the previous version's V-Gauge, SF6 introduces Drive Gauge. The Drive Gauge is located below the player's health bar and it is related to 5 skills: Drive Impact, Drive Parry, Drive Reversal, Drive Rush, and OverDrive.

  • Drive Impact is similar to Focus Attack while Drive Reversal corresponds to V-Reversal in the previous Street Fighter edition.
  • Drive Parry is one of the main defense skills. If Drive Parry is used correctly, also known as Perfect Parry, your character can respond to the opponent with a series of combos immediately. Note that the Drive Gauge will be out immediately when you use Drive Parry.
  • Drive Rush helps your character rush toward the opponent to facilitate attacks or combos. This is the most important mechanism in Street Fighters 6's combat system, whose entire potential depends on the player's skill and creativity.
  • OverDrive is an upgraded version of special attacks with more beneficial effects.

Note that your character will fall into a weakened state if the Drive Gauge is depleted. In that situation, it's extremely difficult to defend against the opponent's attack. In a high-rank match, it means knockout. Therefore, use this tool wisely to achieve victory!

3 SF6 Modes

SF6 includes 3 modes: Battle Hub, Fighting Ground, and World Tour.

  • Battle Hub is an online game mode where players can compete for ranks and improve their skills by fighting with other players. In particular, characters created in Story Mode can also be fought here.
  • Fighting Ground allows players to create their own matches with their own rules. There are still instructions on how to fight in the game and a few other features to practice on their own.
  • World Tour is the most special mode in SF6 for single players. Players can create their own martial characters, explore the vast Metro city, and study with martial arts legends like Chun-Li or Ryu. Talking to these characters is an extremely enjoyable feeling.

Street Fighter Series

The Street Fighter series is a popular fighting series with 6 versions: Street Fighter 1, Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 3, Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter 5, and Street Fighter 6. The SF6 version was introduced in detail in the above sections. Now, let's learn together about other editions of this fighting series.

Street Fighter 1

In 1987, the first Street Fighter game was released by Takashi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto and inspired by the Enter the Dragon movie by Bruce Lee. In this first version, you can become a fighter and join a worldwide martial arts tournament with 10 opponents. In this tournament, the final boss is Sagat who is a famous veteran with an eye patch and a large scar on his chest. However, in this version, Sagat still has no scar. It is said that, at the end of the main game, Ryu gave Saga this scar with his famous Shoryuken skill.

Each match in Street Fighter 1 takes place in a duel BO3 format with a horizontal screen. Each round only lasts 30 seconds. In each match, you must defeat or maintain higher health than your opponent to win.

This SF1 game allows 2 players to play at the same time. Player 1 controls Ryu and Player 2 controls Ken, an American boxer. Ken is Ryu's close friend and rival and Ryu and Ken both have their own fighting skills. In the first version, there aren't any instructions on how to perform the combo. All players must experience and explore for themselves to create a suitable fighting style.

Street Fighter 2

The second version's full name is Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. Following the success of Street Fighter 1, SF2 was released in 1991 by two new designers, Akira Nishitani and Akira Yasuda.

This second edition still is a martial arts competition between martial artists around the world. However, the biggest difference in this SF2 is that players can choose one of 12 characters, including Ryu, Ken Masters, Chun-Li, Guile, Blanka, E. Honda, Zangief, Dhalsim, Sagat, M. Bison, Balrog, and Vega. Each character has different moves and combos to create diversity in each match. This feature forces players to get used to and adapt to each opponent.

Each match takes place in the familiar 1vs1 fighting style. However, the difficulty of each match gradually increases because SF2 has a completely new control system with 6 different buttons. These buttons are divided into 2 rows.

  • The top row is for punches.
  • The row below is for kicks.

In particular, the strength of the action increases from left to right. This control system pushes the complexity of game controls to a new level. It requires players to spend a lot of time practicing to master it. In particular, SF2 gave birth to the concept of combos. Initially, it was considered a game bug when players tried to gain 1-2 frames between each move to launch Hadouken or Shoryuken more easily. In particular, players can take advantage of these 1-2 frames to add one or two extra attacks. From there, you can attack into combos to instantly knock out other players. The introduction of this combo changed the entire fighting game genre in the future. Thanks to the skill combo, fortune in each match is reduced to a minimum, and player skills are gradually increased.

Street Fighter 3

In 1997, the third version of this Street Fighter series was officially released and the full name is Street Fighter III: New Generation.

As the name mentioned, new characters are released to present for a New Generation. Graphics are strongly upgraded in SF3. The character movements become much smoother and more beautiful. In particular, SF3 removes the Block mechanism and introduces the Parry mechanism. This new mechanism allows players to completely block the attack damage and create an opportunity to counter the opponent. Super Combo in Street Fighter 2 also returns with a different name, Super Art. Each character will have 3 Super Arts. However, each player can only choose to take 1 Super Art before each turn. Each Super Art has its own requirements for the Super Meter bar. Therefore, choosing Super Arts requires careful consideration and planning.

At the time of launch, Street Fighter 3 did not receive too much welcome from fans because of the new Parry mechanism. The game's developers still do not have an exact direction for this mechanism's purpose. When the 3rd Strike, the updated SF3 game, was released, the Parry mechanic was also perfected. Players can flexibly switch from blocking attacks to parrying. The 3rd Strike version also brings back the iconic character, Chun-Li who didn't appear in the original third game.

Street Fighter 4

In 2008, Street Fighter 4 was released with a major change in visuals.

SF4 is designed for a 2.5D game instead of the 2D graphics in the previous game. Characters and environments are based on beautiful 3D models, but it still retains the horizontal fighting style of previous games. In particular, some of the characters' Special Attacks will cause an effect. Do you know black ink stains in the traditional Japanese Sumi-e painting genre? This effect is similar to these stains.

SF4's gameplay has many similarities to Street Fighter 2. Although the Parry mechanic was extremely successful in Street Fighter 3, it was removed in the fourth version. Instead, the Focus Attack mechanic is introduced. However, the combat power of this mechanism is higher than the Block and Parry mechanisms because you can absorb a portion of the received damage. At the same time, if you use it correctly, you can immediately launch a counterattack after the opponent makes a move.

In addition, the Ultra Combo system in SF4 is similar to Super Combo in SF2 or Super Art in SF3. Ultra Combo has been redesigned to better fit this game's art style. After successfully launching the Ultra attack, players will admire a short animation showing off the full power and beauty of the attack.

Street Fighter 5

The fifth Street Fighter version was released in 2016. Unlike the previous games, this SF5 version was released exclusively for the PlayStation series, a version for PC systems. The game visuals were completely upgraded.

Street Fighter 5's gameplay eliminated all the complicated elements of previous games. At the same time, SF5 refines the core mechanisms to make them most suitable and accessible. Besides the traditional Meter gauge, this fifth version brings a new mechanism, called V-Gauge. The V-Gauge is located on top of the old Meter, which gradually fills up during combat. The appearance of this V-Gauge is associated with 4 skills: V-Skill, V-Reversal, V-Shift, and V-Trigger. Each skill consumes a different amount of Gauge.

  • V-Skill is a unique skill for each character. It can be a damage or support skill.
  • V-Reversal and V-Shift allow players to counter or keep their distance from the opponent.
  • V-Trigger is similar to V-Skill, but V-Trigger requires consuming the entire Gauge bar to be used.
